Charcoal is the fuel of every good barbecue. But not every type is the same. At Giant Flames, we offer different types of charcoal, each with their own characteristics, advantages and applications. Whether you want to quickly grill a steak or slowly cook a brisket – with the right charcoal you get the best out of your BBQ.

Acacia charcoal – for quick sessions
Our acacia charcoal is available in 3 kg and 10 kg bags, with a sorting of 20 to 80 mm. This charcoal is easy to light and perfect for short grilling moments. Think hamburgers, sausages or vegetable grill. The heat builds up quickly, and you don’t have to wait long to start. Ideal for weekday barbecues or spontaneous dinners.

European mix – versatility in a bag
The European mix consists of hornbeam, oak and ash and has a sorting of 70 to 150 mm. This blend gives a nice balance between quick heat and long burning time. Ideal for longer grilling sessions where you prepare multiple courses in succession. Whether you’re grilling fish, poultry or vegetables, this mix is a real all-rounder. *also suitable for low & slow sessions

Marabu charcoal – low & slow without smoke
For the real slowcook enthusiasts, there is our Marabu charcoal. This Cuban charcoal (25–150 mm) is known for its long burning time, high heat and minimal smoke development. Perfect for dishes that cook for hours at low temperature, such as pulled pork, ribs or large pieces of beef. Thanks to the fine structure and long glow, you need to refill less often – and the temperature remains stable.
