Giant Flames provides your foundation
Cooking salmon on a cedar plank is a delicate preparation where finesse is key. Because the wooden plank already provides that unique, sweet smoky flavor, you need a heat source that is reliable and does not overpower the taste of the fish.
Giant Flames charcoal
Is this salmon on the menu for a weeknight, or do you simply want to get to the table quickly? Then choose our FSC-certified acacia charcoal. These coals (20-80mm) ignite very quickly, allowing you to get started in no time.

Giant Flames Coconut Briquettes
Are you serving the salmon as part of an elaborate dinner, or do you want to effortlessly maintain a constant temperature without having to keep an eye on it? Then choose our coconut briquettes. They burn for at least 3.5 hours and are 100% chemical-free. Their neutral aroma ensures that the salmon, dill, lemon, and cedar wood are the only stars of the show.
Please note: do not use briquettes in a Kamado.
