- Fire pit, OFYR, or BBQ with a grate
- Wood or charcoal
- Stainless steel pan or chestnut pan

Score a cross in each chestnut with a sharp knife. - Roasting
Roast them in a dry pan over the heat, shaking them regularly. They’re ready in about 15–20 minutes when they start to split open. - Peeling
Let them cool briefly, then peel while they’re still warm. - Serving
Sprinkle with salt or melt some butter over them. Enjoy!
